Rhino Conservation Botswana — A Quarterly Update

Map Ives’s relocation programme has now established a viable rhino population in the Delta. Here is where the work stands today.

When Map Ives began the work in 2001, there were no white rhino in the Okavango. Today there are over a hundred, with a growing black-rhino population alongside.

The latest quarter brought two calves and one loss to natural causes. Anti-poaching budget remains the constraint.
